SILS CHOLECYSTECTOMY
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy provides a safe and effective treatment for most patients with symptomatic gallstones and has become the treatment of choice for many patients. In a SILS cholecystectomy procedure, a single 1/2 inch incision is made inside the umbilicus. The EndoGrab system can be introduced through the SILS trocar to retract the gallbladder by attaching to the abdominal wall. Once retracted, the port can be used for other instruments, and the operating field is clear to dissect the cystic duct and cystic artery.
