The EndoGrab > Demonstration
The EndoGrab is an internally anchored, hands-free retracting device that requires
minimal training time. This simple, innovative solution is a three-step technique that
eliminates the need for traditional handle per retraction.
Introduction - The Applier is a easy reusable handle that manipulates
the tool’s “eye,” which is located at the tip of the Applier. The Surgeon attaches the
EndoGrab clasp of the longer organ leg to the Applier eye and extends the Applier sleeve
which straightens the EndoGrab and allows for introduction of the system into the
operative cavity, through a 5mm trocar.
|
|
 |
Retraction - Once inserted, the sleeve is pulled back and the EndoGrab is exposed. The
Applier handle is then squeezed to open the blunt EndoGrab jaw, which is attached to
the organ requiring retraction.
|

|
| The Applier eye is subsequently released from the first
EndoGrab clasp, and attached to the clasp of the shorter peritoneum leg |

|
| The Applier handle is
again squeezed to open the second EndoGrab jaw, which is attached to the abdominal wall |

|
| The EndoGrab is now holding the organ to the abdominal wall, retracting it from the
operating field. |
