EndoGrab is an internally anchored retraction system that can be introduced to through a 10mm trocar. Once retraction is complete, the system is removed and the port can be utilized by other instruments. The EndoGrab system has been employed in numerous types of bariatric surgeries, a few of which are listed below.

LAPAROSCOPIC GASTRIC BAND
Gastric banding is a restrictive surgical procedure used to treat obesity. During this procedure, the EndoGrab system is introduced to through a 10mm trocar, and used to retract the liver via the gallbladder. Once retraction is completed, the system is removed and the port is free for other instruments. The operating field is now clear for access to the stomach. This internally anchored retractor eliminates the need for a manual retraction port, reduces scaring and postoperative pain.

LAPAROSCOPIC SLEEVE GASTRECTOMY
Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy is another surgical procedure used to treat obesity. During the surgery the EndoGrab can be used to retract the liver via the gallbladder by attaching the gallbladder to the abdominal cavity. This allows a clear operating field and exposure of the gastroesophageal (GE) junction. By using an internally anchored retraction system, surgeons can reduce the number of ports need for surgery, which ultimately results in, reduced scaring and less associated postoperative pain.
